Holy Family Pavilion
Angelfields
2014
TYPOLOGY
HOSPITALITY & LIESURE
SIZE SQM
Approximately 5000
(Indoor & Outdoor)
STATUS
COMPLETED

The architectural design of the Holy Family Pavilion at Angelfields Nature Sanctuary is a masterful blend of sacred symbolism and organic architecture. Inspired by the Holy Family, the structure features three distinct, overlapping roofs representing Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, stretching a combined 100 meters in length—surpassing the wingspan of a Boeing 747. The "Jesus" roof is uniquely shaped like a dove, symbolizing peace and the Spirit of God, while the meandering "Mary’s Ramp" mimics the protective embrace of a mother’s arms.

Constructed to harmonize with its 1,500-foot elevation, the pavilion utilizes an open-air, high-ceiling design that invites prevailing mountain winds to flow naturally through the space.

Inside, the Magnificat grand ballroom showcases a 14-meter apex and walls hand-detailed in warm, reclaimed old wood, creating a rustic yet majestic atmosphere. Large cathedral doors, stone accents, and expansive verandas further blur the line between the indoors and the lush Silang landscape, offering a serene, "breathing" environment perfect for monumental celebrations.

Nestled within the Angelfieds property in the serene landscapes of Silang, Cavite, this pavilion is more than just a building—it is a purposeful retreat designed for spiritual intimacy and communal connection.

The vision was to bridge the gap between the internal spiritual experience and the external beauty of the world. By blending traditional architectural forms with modern, extensive glasswork, the structure achieves a unique character of "transparent solidity."

The use of warm wood and expansive glass allows natural light to flood the interiors, creating an atmosphere of openness that brings every visitor closer to the surrounding environment.
